Ask 5. That’s it.
Yesterday at breakfast, a dear friend, Fr. Hugo and I came up with a fundraising campaign! Over some delicious Migas (I’m a connoisseur) and about 4 cups of coffee, we figured out that if 800 people give me $20 (or more) my debt will be eliminated and I will be on my way! ON MY WAY TO THE ‘VENT!
So “Ask 5″ what? ASK 5 PEOPLE.
If you’ve already donated, THANK YOU. If you haven’t, consider making a donation of at least $20 - or more (that “or more” part makes me giggle)
Simply choose 5 friends, 5 enemies, 5 frenemies, 5 relatives or any combo of those. Email them this video link:

I will do the talking. You just pick the friends.
Ask those 5 to ask five more and pass it on. And on. And on. And….. CONVENT!
Hehehe – I look sooooo goofy in this still frame:

What a wonderful idea, Meris!
I’m praying for you (a lot!).
Need. Prayers.
THANKS!!!!
Meris you inspire me! I’ve posted your plea on my facebook page for all my friends to see. I wish you the best of luck.
Thanks for the plea! SO HONORED! Prayers for you, Camille

WOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
I have posted a link and a plea on my blog for you! And facebook…and twitter… and Google+… so hopefully at least 5 will see it!
POST IT EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!
OH AND bee-tee-dubs, THANKS
Hey Meris,
I am Margaret Cronin’s oldest sister, and my husband (Eric Bjork) and I were so happy to be able to donate to your cause!! I have so enjoyed reading your blog, and we are praying for you and wishing you all the best! We made a donation Monday night, and although I have the PayPal receipt, we have not yet see it come out of our account. We just wanted to make sure that you got the donation!! If not, please just let me know, and we will try to get it to you some other way. I know you have a deadline, and we want to make sure we help you in time! How close are you to your goal?!?!?
Best wishes!!
I will keep you in my prayers, Meris. My Godmother’s daughter is a Sister in Ann Arbor (her name is Sr. Imelda Marie), and I know that she loves it there.
I sent through a donation, and wish you the best of luck in eliminating the debt before you arrive in Ann Arbor. I will post about this on Catholic Mothers Online.
Sr. Imelda Marie! She is lovely! Thanks heaps for the support Angie! <3
I haven’t seen her since she was a little girl. (We live far from them.) But, her Mom is easily one of the most saintly people I know. She was such a wonderful Godmother to me that I asked her to be a Godmother to one of my children. (She then was listed as their sponsor when my husband and I and all three children converted and became Catholic.) I know that if Sr. Imelda Marie is even half as kind and wonderful as her mother, then she is one very special woman.
Dear Meris,
Saw your video on Jennifer Fulwiler’s blog, and just donated. Please keep me in your prayers, and I will keep you in mine. God bless!
Pax Christi,
Jason
Will do Jason! THANKS HEAPS!
I just was reading Conversation Diary blog today and in her “7 Quick Takes Friday” post she has you as #4! I will be posting a link to your page on my facebook and blog soon and will say a prayer for you today as well. Also, thought you’d be interested to know that you’re not the only one entering a community in the blogosphere on Aug. 28… I am too! I haven’t finished my official post in my blog to let people know, but working on it… Keep your eyes out for it
May God bless you abundantly–financially, spiritually, physically… and in every way you need.
Okay, Meris…I made my donation. I love the Sisters of Mary but have discerned that God is not calling me there. I do believe that I am called to marriage but I am not getting any younger here! Would love for you to hold my intention for a good and holy spouse in prayer as you enter the convent! God Bless you!
AMEN to not getting younger! LOLZ! Will deffo pray for your prince dear Julia!
I saw your video on Catholic Mothers Online, which led me here to your blog (you seem like an awesome person!). I wish I could help you by donating, but my family’s financial situation is not good right now. Instead, I will repost your video on my blog and I will pray for you. May your life always bring God’s love to others!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! The prayers are so powerful, so I’m happy to receive that as your gift. Peace to you and your family!
Meris,
I knew Sr. Maria Gemma before she entered the convent and this has been such a pleasant reminder of her. My donation is in and my 5 emails are sent and I hope this is all taken care of for you very soon so you can set your eyes on the future and a wonderful number of years as a nun. You obviously have a wonderful sense of adventure and humor and both are sure to serve you well. BTW, I also came via Conversion Diary. God Bless and I will add you to my prayer list.
